Why Hi-Mandarin?
- Q : Can I buy just one class to try out the Hi-Mandarin experience?
A : Yes but it would be more economical to buy a full package. However, if you want to try a smaller number of classes, please send your email address, contact number, preferred time and way of being contacted (e.g. via phone, whatsapp, line, wechat) to service@hi-mandarin.com. Depending resources availability, our service team will try arrange for you as soon as practicable.
- Q : Do I need to take a proficiency test before taking classes?
A : No. Our Business Mandarin learning program is designed for business executive with zero or limited prior exposure to Mandarin. As our scenario-based learning material is infused with practical business context and cultural elements, beginning to intermediate level Mandarin learners should also find our program useful. Our tutor will adjust the class content according to your proficiency level.
- Q : What kind of services do Hi-Mandarin offer?

As your Mandarin learning partner, we offer:

- Self-learning Class with video and animation showing you practical usage of business Mandarin.
- Online Business vocabulary flash card.
- Review session with teaching assistant who can help you to review learnt material or answer your other Mandarin learning questions

- Q : Can I only buy access to Self-Learning Class?

- Q : Can I request for tailor made content for my one-on-one class?
A : Our one-on-one class is tailor-made by nature. Your tutor will consider your proficiency level and the classes you attended to previously and guide you through our Business Mandarin curriculum accordingly. We however do not offer tailor-made learning content.
- Q : Do you offer offline learning class?
A : Sorry, no.
- Q : Do I need to take the Business Mandarin classes in set order or I can choose the topic I am interested in most and take those first?
A : Yes, you can take the classes in the order you prefer.
- Q : Can I request for specific tutor or teaching assistant?
A : For maximum flexibility and efficiency, tutor and teaching assistant are assigned to each class by our e-learning platform, instead of by request of user. Rest assured all our tutors are native speakers, qualified by Wenzao [logo] and have access to your learning profile (including all your learning activities and progress complied and analysed by our platform) so that you can have a seamless learning experience.
- Q : What is Self-Learning Class? Why I would need such while attending one-on-one class?
A : We believe it would be most effective to keep reviewing and learning in "bite size" so that you can absorb easily and can make good use of short period of spare time as you wish. We therefore put interesting short stories and learning tips in video and animation form and make them available to you anytime. As our Business Mandarin package user, you can have access to all our Self-Learning Class. Alternatively, you can purchase only access to the Self-Learning Class.

- Q : What kind of mobile devices I can use to take the classes?
A : Any cell phone or tablet installed with either Android or iOS as well as Hi-Mandarin app.
- Q : What should I do if encounter network or other technical issue when using the e-learning platform?
A : Please be reminded that you need to make sure your internet connection works before one-on-one lesson or review session starts, as we will not be able to help you regarding internet connection issue.

A : Please login into you Hi-Mandarin account via our app or website, go to [login] and click “Make Reservation”. You will find available time slots and lesson available for you to choose from.
- Q : How can I cancel reservation for or reschedule one-on-one class with tutor or review session with teaching assistant?
A : Please login into you Hi-Mandarin account via our app or website, go to [login] and click “Classes”. You can find “Cancel” next to your reserved lesson or review session, then re-select time and date for it. Please be reminded that you can only cancel or reschedule 24 hours before the originally appointed time.
- Q : How can I make appointment with teaching assistant?
A : Please login into you Hi-Mandarin account via our app or website, go to [Learning point] and you will see all [Make reservation]. Please select date and time slot you prefer, and then press button [Make an appointment].

- Q : Can I replay the one-one-one class I have taken?
A : Sorry, no replay feature for earlier class for now. On the other hand, we have full range of tools to help you to review and practise, which we think is more fun. You may review by referring to our Business Vocabulary flash cards, having review session with teaching assistant, or reviewing Self-Learning Class.
- Q : Can I bookmark the class that I would like to attend later?
A : Yes! Please click the "heart" icon beside the class. Such class will be bookmarked and will appear in your ["Classes - to be scheduled"]
